How do you make it past day 1??????

Ok today is the first day of the 10 day diet.  How do you do it.  I am hungry, mad, & crying.  Give me some advice.

Heather, you can do this! Focus on your goal, drink your fluids, and stay busy!

Try not to watch TV with commercials ... do DVD's only. The food commercials drove me nuts!

Drink your protein drinks, they usually help to make you feel full. Do you have some Chike? Mix it with skim milk and add ice. It will taste good and it's filling that way. Crushed ice makes it even better!

Put the small meal portions on a small plate/saucer. Eat with small utensils and take tiny bites and chew well and slowly. When you eat tiny bites and eat slowly, you will feel full before you're finished usually.

Find something to do that you enjoy that doesn't involve food. Go to a bookstore and browse, do a craft you enjoy, go outside or somewhere to enjoy a nature walk this evening. Keep your mind occupied as much as possible that doesn't involve things with food.

Day 3 here, and I am making it.  I have been really keeping an eye on where my mind wonders.  Also drink drink drink... water is best.  BUT I have been putting lemon in it, green tea is the best ever!!!  YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! keep up the good work.  I have been following the plan as they told me MINUS the last meal.  I hope it works!!

Ok girl, i hear your pain, but I can't empathize since I'm preop...but I do have things that might help.... go see this "sex and the city "thing...apparently girls lov that stuff.... um....go have your own version of sex & the city.... um....start a new cross stich kinda thing... ummm....start an ebay store... ummmmm....ok...ahhhh...drink fluids....ummm...broth...jello...ummm...ok water... OMG I feel so bad for you..my own suggestions suck....  ok just laugh and know you've got us to help you out.... T.

If you're mad, you should do something about it and plan revenge on all the mean people who suck. Other than that, fast furiou*****hing at the gym might help. :>) donna

I didn't have to do a 10 day pre-op but I am pretty sure the first day is the worst and if you cheat you'll have another "first" day.  Poor thing,  I'd have gone crazy on a 10 day pre-op liquid fast!!!
